Atmos Silver Status

Atmos Silver is the entry-level Atmos Rewards elite tier, requiring 20,000 status points in a calendar year. It maps to oneworld Ruby and replaces what Mileage Plan members knew as MVP, with a similar 20,000-mile threshold.

Who Atmos Silver is for

Casual but committed Alaska/Hawaiian flyers — typically 4–6 round trips a year on the West Coast, or one or two transcons. If you flew enough to hit MVP under the old program, you will hit Atmos Silver under the new one.

Roughly 20,000 status points. The cheapest path is a single high-spend strategy on the Atmos Rewards Summit card.

  • Flying only: About 20,000 flown miles will do it under distance-based earning — for example, two round trips Seattle → Honolulu (~5,400 miles round trip each) plus a transcon round trip.
  • Card boost: The Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite contributes 10,000 status points automatically each anniversary, halving the flying needed.
  • Card spend route: On the Summit card alone (1 status point per $2 spent), $20,000 of additional spend after the 10,000-point anniversary boost gets you the rest of the way without flying a single segment.
