Companion Fare

A benefit (typically tied to certain Atmos credit cards) letting a companion travel with you on Alaska Airlines for a fixed low fare ($99 plus taxes/fees).

The Companion Fare is one of the signature benefits of the Atmos Rewards Ascent and Business credit cards. It allows a companion to travel with the cardholder on Alaska Airlines for a fixed $99 fare, plus taxes and fees ($23 minimum). The benefit is awarded annually to qualifying cardholders and is one of the main reasons travelers hold the Ascent card despite the $95 annual fee — a single use typically saves $200–$400.

The Companion Fare is tied to the Atmos credit card, not to elite status — even members without Atmos status can use it if they hold the card. The Atmos Summit Visa Infinite includes a "50% flight discount code" instead of the traditional $99 Companion Fare.

Note: this is a credit card benefit, not a status benefit. Atmos elite tiers do not include the Companion Fare automatically.
